Hello, and thank you for stopping by! I am Betsy Penfield, the founder and photographer behind Ink Flower Photography.
My love for photography began in childhood, inspired by time spent behind the lens with my mom. That early spark grew into a passion for capturing people—real, raw, and beautifully themselves.
Before starting this journey, I served in the U.S. Army, an experience that shaped how I see the world: full of meaning, connection, and fleeting moments worth preserving. Now, I channel that perspective into all things photography. I specialize in portrait photography, creating images that reflect personality, emotion, and story.
Based in Huntsville, AL, I photograph individuals, families, and seniors with a relaxed, thoughtful approach. With the support of my husband, Scott, and our dog, Aero, I get to do what I love every day—helping you celebrate who you are right now, through images you'll treasure for years.
